Management Team
Jeff Gaus is the President, Chief Executive Officer, and member of the Board of Directors of Prolifiq Software. He is responsible for articulating and overseeing the execution of the company’s growth strategy. Under his leadership, the company has achieved profitability and is experiencing 30%+ quarterly revenue growth.
Jeff has been with the company since 2002. Prior to his current role, he led the company’s business development, marketing and sales activities having initiated relationships with Prolifiq’s largest customers and partners. Jeff is a veteran of the telecommunications industry having served as the VP of Marketing, eCommerce, with eFusion/ITXC, the world's leading VoIP services provider and was responsible introducing a telephony SaaS model. Prior to eFusion/ITXC, Jeff was Executive Director of NEC Business Network Solutions responsible for the Healthcare, Education and Government sectors in North America. Jeff pioneered the use of computer telephony integration (CTI) in the healthcare industry and achieved double-digit market share growth.
Jeff has designed several communications protocols and holds a United States patent for his work in VoIP. Jeff completed his education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Marketing and post-graduate work at Carnegie Mellon University's Graduate School of Industrial Administration.
As COO for Prolifiq, Neil is responsible for our products and keeping our commitments to customers. He oversees our Product, Marketing, Development and Customer Success groups. Neil is a seed investor in Prolifiq, and has been with the company since the "garage days" in 1999. Since that time he has been a major contributor to the company's overall success.
Earlier in his career, Neil managed the development and introduction of new products for GE, Tandem Computers, Intel, and numerous other clients during his consulting career with Accenture and The Pringle Company. Just prior to joining Prolifiq, Neil helped Rosen Products enter the mobile video entertainment system market and grow into a $100M category leader in just two years. Neil has held board positions with two companies that were developed and sold successfully. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State and an MBA from the University of Portland.
Jim joined Prolifiq in July 2001 where he led the company through its early development stage and currently oversees the operations and development of finance, accounting, human resources, investor relations and general administration.
Jim has over 30 years of broad-based executive management and operations experience in private and public technology businesses, responsible for bottom-line P&L performance. Prior to Prolifiq, Jim was Vice President/Digital Media Services with Loudeye, a leading provider of digital media solutions, where he directed all aspects of audio/video encoding and media management operations. He was instrumental in ramping production revenues over 300% in less than 2 years. Prior to Loudeye, Jim was Vice President/GM of the Assembly Products Group for Johnson Matthey Electronics, a producer of interconnect materials for semiconductor and electronic assembly. Before his most recent roles, Jim held several key operations executive and management positions over 20 years with Mitsubishi Silicon America, Intel and Xerox corporations.
He holds a B.S Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology, and has previously served as a Board director for Mitsubishi Silicon America, an ultra-pure silicon wafer manufacturer, and as an advisor for Entomo, an on-demand channel management provider.
Board of Directors
Kirby Dyess is currently the Principal in Austin Capital Management LLC where she evaluates, invests in, and assists early stage companies in the Pacific Northwest. Kirby is a retired vice president and director of Intel Capital where she was responsible for acquisitions and operations; she managed a portfolio of over 400 companies and 50 of Intel's acquisitions through successful integration. Prior to this assignment, Dyess held a variety of positions at Intel. She is currently President of the Oregon State Board of Higher Education and is a member of the OHSU Board and the Business Advisory Board for the University of Oregon, Lundquist College of Business. She chairs the Board of Prolifiq Software Corporation and serves as a director for Merix, Itron, AISI, and Compli Corporations.
Mike is a former Chairman of the company and is a founder and Chairman of Albina Community Bank. Mike is the retired President of PacifiCorp Holdings, a subsidiary of PacifiCorp, which held the Company's investments in telecommunications, alternative energy, independent power generation and financial services. He also served in executive positions in many of these subsidiaries from 1991 through 1998. He was CEO of Crescent Foods from 1986 through 1991. Previously Mike led the management consulting practice in the Pacific Northwest for Deloitte Haskins & Sells during his seventeen year career in Public Accounting. He has served on many Boards during his eclectic career, including Longview Fibre, Tazo Tea and Veris Industries prior to their sale. He currently serves on the Board of North Pacific Group, a building products distributor. Mike is a founding investor in Prolifiq and has also invested in and coached management of many small high growth businesses.
Roger is a founding investor and previous Chairman of the board of directors for the company. Roger is a principal in The Pringle Company (TPC). TPC is a well-known executive search and management consulting firm, which Roger founded and serves as President. Roger also serves on the boards of directors of OraSure Technologies, Inc. and North Pacific Group, and on an Advisory Board for Tsongas Litigation Consulting. Roger previously served on the boards (fiduciary or advisory) of West One Bancorp, Bank of the Northwest, Rosen Products, Berwind Industries, Systran Financial Services, Agritope, Inc., Epitope, Inc., and Veris Industries.
Irving is the Chairman and CEO of Genesis Financial Solutions (GFS). A veteran of retail financial services, Irving founded Renaissance Holdings, Inc. and was the Chairman of Renaissance and its Orchard Bank subsidiary. He was also the founder of the country's first single-purpose credit card bank, First Consumer's National Bank. Irving previously consulted for Arthur D. Little and Company and held several management positions with Visa International. He holds a number of Board and Advisor positions with entrepreneurial companies and non-profit organizations.
Chris Gibbons is an experienced technologist having held multiple executive positions at Microsoft including CIO and headed Microsoft's global Office 2000 marketing program for enterprises. Chris was the CTO and a board member of eStara Corp until it was acquired by ATG. He also advised Texas Pacific Group on technology investments. Previously Chris was the CIO for Promus Corp and served as VP Finance for its Holiday Inn division. He serves on a variety of boards and in advisory positions for technology and private equity companies.
Jim is currently the President of Slacker, a pioneer in the new personal radio market. Previously, he has led two startups to annual revenues of more than $100 million and successfully led established publicly held companies. The majority of Jim's career has been spent in consumer electronics where Jim was President of Rio Digital Audio, a digital music industry pioneering company whose core technology has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Important Developments by the Consumer Electronics Association. While CEO at Rio, Jim grew sales from zero to over $150 million in a three year period, before selling the company to SONICblue. Prior to Rio, Jim was a group President at Diamond Multimedia, and EVP & COO at Supra Corporation. Jim's honors include a "Silver Anvil Award" from the Public Relations Society of America for best consumer products marketing campaign for Rio Digital Audio and over 150 best product awards globally during his career. Jim holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Portland State University.
Linda Ranz joined Prolifiq's Board of Directors in May of 2008 and provides strategic marketing insight to Prolifiq. Linda currently manages a $9M capital campaign for Medical Teams International. She also serves as Director for Harambe Development, a nonprofit intent on providing medical and dental services to the people of Masindi, Uganda. Prior to joining Medical Teams International, Linda held various senior level positions at Getty Images, Inc. including Senior Vice President Technology, Senior Vice President Customer Experience, Vice President Marketing, and Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining Getty Images, Linda held various positions in both business development and carrier relations in startup companies in the wireless industry. Linda holds a Bachelor's Degree from Western Washington University and a Master's Degree from Seattle University.
